Beaches are nice in cloudy weather too

Our weekends have been very full and adventurous- the last six weekends in a row have been - Tasmania, Great Ocean Road, Philip Island, Brindabella Valley, Sydney and now Jervis Bay.   Jakob and I went to Jervis Bay on our own a few months ago and really liked it there. The beaches were nice, the bay was turquoise, and the the sand felt like baby powder beneath our toes. And so we decided this would be a nice place to go with the kids and Jakob's parents. And we now know that Jervis Bay is everything and more than we expected and we are not alone in feeling this way. Our weekend was a bit like a stag party where instead of bars we hit up beaches. One beautiful beach after another until we we were all so woozy with ocean glow that we just had to collapse down on the sand in awe. There were beaches that were sweeping, beaches where shells replaced sand, beaches that we hiked to and were nestled between sheer cliffs, beaches with dolphins, beaches with rock pools, beaches that were pebbly, beaches with the whitest sand in the world, beaches, beaches, beaches. And kayaking next to beaches and dolphins. Really we just saw a fraction of the beaches on offer and will probably go back because it would be foolish not to. For those of you who are unable to make a weekend of it here is a sample of what our lives are like. Well when we are not working and trying desperately to find a place to live.
