Back to tomorrow

Soon we will travel forward in time making a weather leap of nearly 60 degrees Celsius. Many people asked us why we would want to leave our warm summer to put up with the Canadian cold, the wind, the freezing rain, the elaborate system of layered clothing. Except we like winter activities and scenery. The kids never really complained about the cold and were so overjoyed about all the snow and ice. Really what’s there to complain about with an 8 km long skating rink. And we were all so overjoyed by time spent with family and friends. Even little clingy Zadie started happily seeking out her fun family members instead of hiding out on her mom. Tova worked hard to convince me to leave her behind with her aunt. Aurora claimed she never wanted to leave the snow and rolled around in it adoringly as often as possible. Sophia was ready to enroll at Ecole Laurier. We are all feeling invigorated by our visit but I am sure 24 hours of  air travel will bring us back to reality.
