Wonderland

While we came to Canada to spend time with family, we were also hoping to spend time with the snow. We have had manic winter weather involving fluctuations from -15 C up to +3 which makes for a lot more ice cover than snow cover. So, we were all so delighted to spend a few days at the cottage right after a snowfall (before the next melt). There is nothing quite like new fresh powdery snow draped over a pine forest. Except of course new fresh powdery snow draped over a pine forest with cute children draped over the snow. We frolicked in the snow, sledded, shoveled snow, built snowmen, snow forts, snow tunnels, snow angels, snowflakes, snow cones, snow wonders we had so much fun. I got to run between trees and over lakes of undisturbed snow. Between spending time with family and friends and the snow, we are feeling warm.
