Turning the heat back on

We are all now happily ensconced once again in our Aussie lives. And though we miss the snow it is nice to leave the house with a half naked baby when it calls to us-which seems to be frequently  Zadie, after a month of wearing shoes and hats all the time, is back to her barefoot lifestyle, Tova is seeming happy to have returned to a place where dropping r's is the norm and where riding a bicycle is once again feasible, Sophia is gleeful about the 'ice breaks' she gets at gym, and Aurora just seems to be content about pretty much everything these days. But actually we all miss Canada too. It does get very tiresome to disappoint Zadie each time she requests to see a family member or a family members dog. If only she really understood geography.

After not much time back home we went to Sydney. We go there much less often than one would think considering it is a three hour drive away. But given the choice between nature and city it is surprising we ever go there at all. Every time we do end up going we enjoy ourselves thoroughly. Plus, Jakob had a scrabble tournament so we were really a bunch of cute roadies. Poor roadies though as we never actually go watch him play we just wish him good luck in the morning and go off and have fun doing things that seem to involve trains, beaches, museums, asian food, playgrounds, fireworks and fruit.

Nothing perplexing about this
