The rest of our stay in Buenos Aires passed quickly in a hot blur. My personal feelings that our family had endured enough illness in January to last the year were dismissed as covid created its own small heat wave. It was a much more mild affair than the flu, but, it nonetheless kept me mainly indoors and out of crowds for a week. We still had a great time though -especially those of us who stayed healthy. Tova and Zadie spend three days at a swimming camp. Based on Tova's stories it sounded like very long watery free for all camp days, but, I could be wrong because both girls adored the camp and insisted it was very organised. Aurora and Sophia did a few private Spanish lessons which both kept them out of the heat and helped improve their Spanish. More time at home also meant more time available to catch up on schoolwork. Buenos Aires has been a great place to explore. It is a city with a lot of spirit. We will miss going to sleep to the sound of live jazz coming from the local cafe. We all agreed that we could have spent even longer taking in the parks and vibes of this happening place but before we knew it it was time to migrate South and leave Summer.
