Hawaii somehow always exceeds my expectations. There really is a sense of Aloha here and we have had a great time. We have been to numerous beaches and on numerous walks and have spent numerous enjoyable evenings with family. And now just as we are heading home the island is giving us a grand fiery send off. The lava gods on the big island have woken from a long slumber to rumble about and gush out a fireworks spectacular. Between floods and earthquakes and volcanic eruption it is tough times for these peaceful islands. Nature really went all out in preparation for our arrival and departure. So while I will be trying to avoid any dramatic eruptions from my children on the long flight home I will be wishing for a similar gentle eruption for Hawaii.
